Performance Ignition Wins GRM Ignition Shootout

RML Automotive and Performance Ignition was selected to compete in the GRM Ignition Shootout for a feature story in the August, 2002 issue of Grassroots Motorsports magazine. This test would involve four types of ignition systems: Stock Points Ignition, PerTronix Ignitor, Crane XR3000 Breakerless Ignition, and our very own Performance Ignition on a 1967 Volvo 122 project car, using a Dynojet chassis dynamometer to monitor the results. The final results showed our Performance Ignition system with a two horsepower advantage over the next closest competitor: the Crane Breakerless Ignition System.
